Family holiday in Bali, Sanur
Sanur proved to be an ideal destination for our family, offering a serene escape that felt like a tranquil haven for relaxation. As a family, I appreciated the calm atmosphere, though it may have seemed a tad too quiet for our energetic bunch. Nevertheless, the biggest pleasure lay in the fact that Sanur is incredibly walkable and safe. We enjoyed leisurely strolls along the beach, taking in the breathtaking views of the ocean. The family-friendly environment allowed us to explore without worry. The only downside was the cost of dining, as the food in Sanur tends to be on the expensive side. However, the overall experience of a peaceful retreat and the joy of unhurried walks made Sanur a memorable destination for our family.

Where did we work in Sanur, Bali?
Sanur wasn’t the best place to work. It is a very touristy destination with not so good wifi nor coworking options but we are creative.
KidzCafé
With a bit of creativity you can make the most of this place thanks to the comfy tables and the fast Wifi. As always, we work around Scarlett’s naps or we take turns. There is also a lot of staff so she had adults looking around as she was playing with other kids.
Genius Café (on the beach)
Not a real coworking but you have enough plugs and fairly relatable internet connexion. The surrounding is also very nice as you are right next to the sea. Not suitable for calls though as it can be quite loud and there even is live music midday.
Livit Coworking
Very fast internet in a proper coworking space. It is a good place eventhough we thought the day pass was a bit pricy (from 6$ with no access to the AC room).
Who looked after Scarlett in Sanur?
We didn’t put her in a local school as we weren’t staying long enough. Our wonderful sitter from Ubud did follow us to Sanur to play with her on a daily basis. Feel free to reach out by email if you would like an introduction.
What to do in Sanur for two weeks?
As mentioned earlier, the place was a bit too calm for us. It is however great for chilling on the beach and enjoying cocktails and food buffets. The highlight was properly for us to actually leave Sanur and go on a snorkeling trip to Nusa Penida (half a day) where we saw beautiful fishes and corrals. There are also a lot of surf clubs around and a little turtle preservation center.
